From classic pop punk to hip hop favorites, some of the biggest names in music know that smelling great is essential. So we were thinking, what are the best lyrics that involve fragrance? Here's a list of four of our favorites in no particular order! (Disclaimer: We didn't include lyrics like, "I smell strongly like weed, and that takes the place of cologne," because no...that's not...just...please no.)
"bad guy" by Billie Eilish from WHEN WE ALL FALL ASLEEP, WHERE DO WE GO

So, badass/bad guy Billie is talking to (presumably) a dude here, and they're talking about the dude's ex or maybe current gf or someone who just really likes him. And Billie, in her most nonchalant tone says, 'Yeah, I honestly don't even know why she's intimidated by me...other than the fact I threw on some of your signature GUY FOX this morning.' Love the power move, Billie.
"What's My Age Again?" by blink-182 from Enema of the State
"I took her out
It was a Friday night
I wore cologne
To get the feeling right"
This might be one of the most well known lyrics about cologne, but it's probably also one of the most misunderstood. Apparently, a ton of blink fans had always sung "I walk alone to get the feeling right" and, when Mark Hoppus tweeted a reference to the lyric, some were more than a little shook. To be fair, the first verse is about going out on a date so it only makes sense, but we digress.

This jam by DaBaby was Rolling Stone's #5 song of 2019 and, while it isn't necessarily a deep dive on cologne, it does bang and teaches us a valuable lesson: If you wear badass cologne, you too can be a young CEO like DaBaby and Suge Knight.
Side Note: Please don't act like Suge Knight...just wear cologne and be happy.
